Absolutely. This past weekend, I hosted a walk at a state historic site, led by a local mushroom expert. Most of the people were engaged, but one young man looked almost solely at his phone, missing the serendipity of discovery of a variety of mushrooms, but oblivious to the fact he was standing on the remains of Revolutionary War structures. I have never found anything on my phone's screen that can compare to what I find in the real world, and I felt sorry for that young man.
