Another issue is the way venues like Netflix try to influence the movies you see with their recommendations or with their trending now lists. Rarely do these lists represent my taste in films. I am certain there are dozens of movies I'd enjoy watching, but I don't know they exist -- and none of the streaming services are telling me about them.
