Burr is the only book of Vidal's I've read, but I loved it. Aaron Burr is one of the most interesting people in U.S. history. For those who want to read a historical biography of Burr, I highly recommend Fallen Founder: The Life of Aaron Burr, by Nancy Isenberg. It paints Burr more favorably than a lot of Burr biographies, many of which rely on Hamilton's slanderous claims about him.
