Good movies all, but here is my recommendation for two sword movies better than any on this list (in my view):

1. The Adventures of Robin Hood (with Errol Flynn)

2. The Three Musketeers (with Michael York) and The Four Musketeers (a sequel that was really just the second half of the Dumas novel).

These two films were made before CGI could have people doing ridiculous stunts, and the swordplay is fantastic. Basil Rathbone, the villain in Robin Hood was a competitive fencer. But I would definitely recommend the Musketeers films if you have not seen them and love swashbuckling at its best.
