I am a fan of Milanote too. A feature that is often overlooked is its export functionality. When you export a board, it will stitch the various notes and content into a single document. It takes a little trial and error to arrange the pieces in the right order, but it is pretty simple.
Milanote also makes it easy to clip images from web pages into the board of your choosing, so it works great for me when I'm proposing photos to my boss for her approval. I can just share that board with her and she can tell me what she likes.
The one missing feature that prevents me from using Milanote more extensively is a graphical index that allows you to explore your boards and all their sub boards in an overhead view. Right now, to drill down to a deeply embedded board, you have to click your way through... and that's assuming you remember the exact route to it. A graphical overview would help.
Nevertheless I do think Milanote is a gem that not enough people know about. So I was glad to stumble upon your article. Thanks!
