I stand corrected about Galadriel the warrior. But no, I wasn't implying the producers were trying to cater to women predominently. Shame on you for presuming that. As I said in my comment there are too many characters. In Peter Jackson's LoTR, it starts with the focus exclusively on the Hobbits. Gradually others come into the picture. This is a much better way to make us care about the characters, in my view. I would have been much happier if the focus stayed on Galadriel.
