I think it is fair to criticize a film that claims accuracy and then does not live up to that standard. I recall being very disappointed in another Nolan film, Interstellar, which even had Nobel Scientist Kip Thorne touting its scientific validity. But when I watched it, I found the science more smoke and mirrors than accurate. Having my expectations (based on the marketing of the film) dashed made me dislike a film I probably would have enjoyed otherwise.
