I will have to disagree with this view. I love Die Hard, and I do not begrudge anyone who sees it as a Christmas movie, but to me there are also reasons a film is NOT a Christmas movie (again, only my opinion): 1. more people are slaughtered in it than gifts are given; 2. the most remembered quote is "Yippee ki yay, Motherfucker"; 3. the main character ends up reuniting with Bonnie Bedelia.

Not saying you're wrong, Paul. Just that I'm not convinced.
