Interesting to read your list. None of those, with the exception of Monty Python would make my list, thus seeming to indicate one of two things: my taste sucks, or (which I hope is more probable), comedy doesn't cross the Atlantic as well as drama. Some (most?) of my favorite dramas are from British television, while all of my sit-com favorites are American:
