Like most inconsequential people with low self-esteem, Nugent tries to make himself seem important by degrading those who generally are. Even before I knew what his politics were, I understood him to be an asshole when he bragged about firing one of his band who he felt upstaged him on guitar. Nugent is really quite pathetic.
