One issue, however, is that there are many tasks, often requiring different tools. Gathering research notes could be more productive in an app different from where you manage your projects, for example. I think part of the allure of the Holy Grail of PKM tools is trying to find the one that can handle all the types of tasks. But I also think that is an impossible requirement of any PKM tool. Settling on one or two or three tools is probably the sweet spot... at least for me.
