Same here. I was never a big fan of the film. Though I appreciated the craftsmanship that went into its making, I have come to be distrustful of any story that caters to the id of displaced white males, to whom I just say, without intended irony, "grow a pair and stop whining." Perhaps that is the ultimate message of Fight Club, but if so, it is too well hidden.
