Scrintal is a fine application with all the benefits you describe. One thing still missing is the ability to export a writing project. In xTiles, another application that uses cards, you can export a group of cards as a single markdown document, and it does a pretty good job putting them in a smart order. Milanote does this too. I don't believe Scrintal can do this yet, although the developers are very smart and making great progress, so I am hopeful this feature will be added. Then Scrintal will be a fantastic writing application.
