The problem, as I see it, is that everyone needs to manage information, but not all information is the same. Notes, tasks and data for projects require a on type of system of management. Sparks, ideas, inspirations requires a different type of system. Notes and references for a research project require yet a different system. And managing life requires yet another. I don't have a solution for this, other than to say don't try to shoehorn all of your information into one system, but divide (into different systems as needed) and conquer.
