The word "great" doesn't always mean "best." Best is very subjective. Greatness can be defined. For one thing, it refers to impact. Joan Jett is certainly a great guitarist, the vanguard of a slew of fabulous women rockers. Watching her tiny frame taking control of any stage she steps upon leaves no doubt about that greatness.
