When I was a boy, my parents took my brother and me and a few friends to a double-feature of Patton followed by M*A*SH. The latter film seemed utterly silly after watching George C. Scott drive a tank around Europe during WWII. Had those films been reversed, it may have made more sense. Also, as an adult I may have appreciated the irony of the M*A*S*H counterpoint.
