You won't get an argument from me. I liked Solo the first time I saw it, and didn't understand the negative reception. Truth be, I think it is my favorite Star Wars film, though I recognize that The Empire Strikes Back is an excellent film, mostly I believe because the first draft came from the pen of a real science fiction writer, Leigh Brackett.
